As President of the Barbados Estate Agents and Valuers Association Inc. (BEAVA) and Director of Poola Properties Ltd., Christopher Hassell brings a unique, multidisciplinary perspective to the Barbados real estate market. A graduate of Syracuse University with a degree in Bioengineering and a master’s in public health from Emory University, Chris applies a high-level analytical and data-driven approach to his work. These technical strengths, combined with nearly two decades of expertise in commercial property management, residential rentals, and luxury sales, allow him to provide his clients with exceptionally sophisticated and precise representation. As an international member of the National Association of Realtors (NAR) and an Accredited Buyer’s Representative (ABR®), he ensures every transaction is backed by specialized advocacy and a globally recognized standard of excellence.
Within his leadership role at BEAVA, the largest organised body of realtors on island, Chris champions inclusivity, transparency, and a modern digital framework to improve the ease of transactions for the entire industry. He is dedicated to serving as a bridge between the private and public sectors to ensure quality housing for all. Outside of his professional life, he is a proud father of four and a passionate sports enthusiast. An avid fan of West Indies Cricket and a dedicated follower of the NBA and NFL, Chris has set a life goal to visit every venue in both leagues. When not cheering from the stands or driving industry innovation, he can be found on the golf course working on his game as a novice golfer.
